Vela Restaurant and lounge is designed to shad light on live simple pleasure, eating, dinging and great company.
Vela's innovative menu blends the Zen of Japanese cooking with the boldness of Brazilian cooking.
Fusing flavor, color and texture, Vela simultaneously creates gastronomic harmony and flavor diversity.

The Vela philosophy emphasizes freshness, simplicity, and authenticity.

A city-slick scene serving super-fresh Japanese-Brazilian fare. Once inside this beautiful place features cathedral-tall dining room, done up in leopard prints and low-lit hanging lamps.

Start with appetizers masterpiece, featuring fresh, colorful ingredients from both cuisines: flavor-packed rolls of tuna tartar sweetened with grilled mango; cherry blossom-smoked yellowtail with fruity salsa; and rich, crab-stuffed red peppers. A delicious toss of spicy sausage, hearts of palm, plantains and artichokes in zesty vinaigrette is best followed by a parade of entrees, like beautifully flavorful grilled duck with tropical fruit sauces. Try the Potato Crusted Salmon Roulade!

The sushi here is way better than average - the rolls are inventive and the sashimi is always fresh. Try the spicy tuna glassage, you'll be hooked.

Vela is a great place for just about any occasion. It's a great date spot, good for a girl's night out; great to go dancing...it covers the bases. Overall I liked Vela and by the way the crowd was pretty hot!

The place was packed with great looking people. The staff was attentive and the food was great. I highly recommend it for a classy and fun way to start the night.

Everything is great about this place. The food the staff, the atmosphere, and the music. Here you get seated immediately even on the Saturday night and the Waite staff are very friendly.
