This inspired Mexican features dishes from all over Mexico that draws food enthusiasts and smart diners.

Brothers Raul and Gerardo Sarmiento designed a creative menu, while using fresh Mexican spices and exotic ingredients usually not found at other restaurants. All of the menu items are delicious. Favorites such as the Burrito de Camarones,
Two burritos filled with sautéed shrimp in a bell pepper salsa, Spanish rice and refried beans.

When you come inside Arriba! Arriba! The first thing you'll notice is the mammoth Mayan figure of a head that's eloquently hung on the right side with its glowing red eyes. To the left you'll notice the bar with all its accoutrements flanked by high chairs to the left and in the front. The tables are neatly arranged to account for the small narrow space, with a candle illuminating dimly lit room.

For being a Mexican restaurant, you won't hear any "corridos," rancheras, or texmex Chicano music. Instead, your ears will be tickled with soft New Age music, as well as low-key trancey techno beats. Don't be surprised to hear one of Chopin's Etudes. Or so I thought. The piece was gradually transformed from moody into mood-altering, and quite honestly made you want to dance to Zigo's Prelude. The waiting staff is, very attentive. Every Mexican restaurant serves Margaritas. And Arriba! Is no exception, except they not only served the most delicious margaritas in New York City. The presentation is very good and the serving was quite enormous for their comfortable prices. New York has many, many Mexican restaurants, but I couldn't compare this one among the others. Arriba! Arriba! Stands by itself - unceremoniously taking its place among the best restaurants in town.

You will be pleased and satisfied frequenting Arriba Arriba in the future.
