White curtains, handsome wood paneling and bursts of color
and seductive lighting dominate this beautiful place.
Asia de Cuba captures a retro feeling that's warm and
inviting. The focal point is a long, communal marble table
set for 34, where solo diners meet and share good portions
of of latin-fusion.
On the whole, the Asian-Latin fusion food is well-executed.
The Thai beef salad, an artful combination of seared,
thinly sliced beef topped with Asian greens, avocado,
orange segments and crisp noodles with a fiery vinaigrette.
Tunapica, tuna tartare mixed with Spanish olives, black
currants and almonds.

Located in the Meatpacking this district Cuban classics
in a stylish setting attract a lively clients.This attractive
place evokes little Havana. Live Latin music six nights
a week in a festive scene. Smaller tables toward the front
and out on the sidewalk offer more intimate dining. The
menu offers a fresh seviche misto of octopus, calamari
and shrimp, and other meat and seafood standards. Entrees
include Cuban specialties. Arroz con pollo, as well as
Son Cubano's excellent signature dish, rabo encendido,
featuring tender chunks of oxtail in a light tomato sauce,
served with white rice and delicious fried sweet plantains.
Finish with another sweet and smooth Son Cubano mojito
martini.
