Restaurants By Cuisine: TAPAS
CASA MONO
52 Irving Pl. New York, NY 10003
Cross Street: 17th Street
(212) 253-2773
Energetic little corner restaurant. Service is knowledgeable, efficient and, with the exception of a pleasant welcome at the door. The tapas here are brightly-flavored and distinctive. Well executed using the finest of ingredients. A trio of poached egg, roasted potatoes and Mojama--salt-cured tuna is no the spot. Other creative dishes: Charred-rare wild boar, and refreshing tangerine sorbet with muscato and pomegranate seeds is great culinary touch.
